I finally jumped onto the .300blkout band wagon and would like to run subs through my Thompson Machine isis2. My problem is my fixed mount is 1/2-28 and my new barrel is 5/8-24.

Does anyone know where to find a fixed mount adaptor in stock?

Thanks in advance.

I can't help but maybe check the F1 subforum. Lots of talented machinists in there.

I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the ISIS 2. I have the original ISIS on F3 right now

I believe the ISIS-2 can also use Gemtech Multimount fixed mounts - have you tried looking for a 5/8x24 Multimount fixed mount?

This. The ISIS is a nice can at an excellent price point. I am pleased with mine.

does this look right?

I think this is the right mount. Is there any better options for a mount?

Yes I love the isis2. I can't really compare though, it is the only suppressor I have.

Brooks at Thompson Machine sells 5/8x24 fixed barrel mounts for about $45.     I run an Isis 2 on my .357 Mag Handi Rifle.

My hot 357 Mags sound like suppressed .223 ammo.    My .38 subs loaded to 994 fps with a 158 grain bullet are stupid quiet.    Not quite .22 subsonic suppressed quiet, but still pretty darned quiet.     As a monocore, it does have a bit of FRP even on a rifle host.     I use a quick spray of RemOil in the blast chamber and run mine wet.     It completely eliminates the FRP and lasts a long time on my Handi Rifle.

That is the right adapter. You can often find them on ebay for a decent price or direct from Gemtech if you don't mind paying a little more. I've done exactly what you described and on my 10.5 300 BO with subs and running the can wet it is absolutely Hollywood quiet. You'll be very happy.
