I've got an opportunity to get some new knives at wholesale cost.  I currently have an old Benchmade that was given to me, but need another good folder and a multi-tool.  Can anyone with knife knowledge give me some good recommendations?  I would like to stay around $200 wholesale for the pair, but could be convinced to spend more if there is a big jump in quality.  Thanks in advance.

Anything in Cold Steel would be good.  I like to stay with carbon steel, but ATS 34 is fine too.  I don't like the 154 steel in Benchmade, it's to hard.  Like D2, it holds a good edge, but D2 is brittle.  I like a partial serrated blade also, this gives quick cuts in rope or hoses, especially if they are wet.  I have MANY milti-tools too, but I guess the Swiss Army is my favorite.  Good luck................

I'd probably go with Emerson and Gerber. Maybe a couple of Cold Steel folders as throwaways.

$200 should go a long way at wholesale prices.
