I need really tiny ranger bands to wrap around a tape switch and small plate.  I found these but I'm not paying $5 to ship cut up inner tubes.  I think I would that size or smaller.  What could I use for that or where can I find them?

Stop by your local bike shop that sells and repairs bicycles. Some of the modern performance bikes take very thin tubes. They probably have some in the trash can or dumpster that they will be happy to give you. That is what I do. Three tubes will go a long way for you and your family.

What about some sewn 1" elastic loops, would that help you out? Ranger Green, Coyote, Tan 499, even Multicam-woven elastic.

It would but I haven't seen any small enough.  The only ones I have are about  tourniquet sized.  I need it to wrap around a Surefire type tape switch and a thin mounting plate.

I've got a surefire tapeswitch here, how thick is the mounting plate? the bands I can make any width you need.

It's 1/8th inch max.

I haven't decided whether I'm going to use 1/8th inch aluminum, .060 Kydex or .080 kydex.  The plate will be cut to the exact shape of the switch, so it's the same width and length.
