I was going to get a sports afield sa6033 until I saw a video on YouTube on how a guy removed the door panel and showed the interior workings of that particular safe (crap). So I started reading more into safes and I need something with more protection. I know if I spend $2,000-5,000 I can get a great safe but honestly that's out of the question for me. I did some calculations and my max dollar amount is $1000. Figured it's better then what I store my firearms in now.

After looking around I came across the Liberty Revolution 24 Gun Safe for $750 (in my price range)  has hell of a lot more protective features then that sports afield crap I was looking at.

What do you guys think? Is there anything better out there for $1000 or less?

Would appreciate any help or advice

Go to your local Liberty dealer and ask them to remove a door panel on the safe you're looking at.  This way you can make sure you're comparing apples to apples.

1000 max?  buy or find something used that is better than a 1k new one.

14 gauge body on that Liberty.  Keep saving until you can up the budget, that safe is no better than a sheet metal locker.
