Fellow shot-gunners- I need help finding a sling that will work with my shotgun.  I would like a 2 point sling, but I am not sure how I can get around my mounting issues.  I use this gun for deer hunting and for HD.  I use the swivel studs on the magazine cap and the back stud on the stock.  However, the back stud is now covered by the shell carrier.  Anyone have any experience dealing with this?  I would like to still use the shell carrier with any sling I get.  It is a tactical tailor shell carrier.  Thanks for the help everyone.

I use a different model shell carrier but here's how I mounted mine:

poked a small hole in the shell carrier for the stud to protrude

secured the shell carrier to the stock using double-sided foam tape

Do what Echo said and your issue is over.  Go to www.rockymountaintactical.net and look at his two point slings.  Can't beat his stuff for quality and price.  You can pay more and not get better.

I tried to mount a 2-pt that way and it did not work well. The rear mounted sling swivel needs to be clser to the rear of the stock to work well as a side sling IME.

What works good for me is to screw a sling swivel stud into the left side of the stock about 1" in front of the recoil pad.

Another good option would be to get the GGG front end sling plate which goes between the mag cap and barrel lug, then run the other end of the sling under the strap by the butt pad of your shell holder.

For the rear, Viking Tactics rear sling adapter.

I tried one of these and it worked pretty good, I removed it when I added a Vang Comp mag tube that has the side mount sling attachment.  Now I use Specter Gear slings .....
