Just watched a segment on 60 minutes about african game on Texas ranches. It was actually pro hunting, wich suprised the hell out of me! Talked about how some of the animals were extinct in their native land and how there numbers were growing in Texas.
Of course they gotta have the opposing side, so they had this nutcase from Friends of Animals give them an interview. She said she'd rather the animals be extinct than be hunted. The interviewer sounded sort of incredulous that this woman was saying this and gave her every chance to clarify. She was absolutely clear that they'd be better off extinct. What the hell goes through the heads of these Peta type people?! "So what if hunters brought this species back from the brink of extinction, I'd rather see them all dead than have hunters kill them". Maybe I'm not as insane as I thought I was, because this makes no sense whatsoever to me. Anybody here feel like that woman or maybe have an idea of what makes people say goofy shit like that? ETA: Dammit! put this in the wrong forum! Can we get this moved to GD or the hunting forum please. I'm mildly retarded tonight! |
