| I have a standard SS 10/22 and a 10/22T, now I want something different. I ordered a OEM receiver yesterday to start me off. I'm looking at KIDD's website a lot and like the scalloped bolt. A 16" fluted .920 barrel would be cool, maybe use a Burris Fastfire on top. The stock is something I really need to think about. Any cool builds out there to inspire me or new products I need to know about? |
| Hello ace. Thanx for the heads up about Kidds. Never knew they existed. I just bought a Ruger I-TAC 10/22 a couple of weeks ago. I really like the ATI side folder stock it came with. It is a Distributor's special run with a Mini-14 flash hider/suppressor mount. I really like it. You might want to look at that for your new build. As usual the trigger sucks, and I was looking for an aftermarket solution. I think the trigger kit on the site is just what I am looking for. Thanks again, 44-40. |

Here's my 16" KIDD fluted bead blasted barrel in a Tactical Solutions Vantage stock. It also has a KIDD scalloped bolt, charging assembly, receiver pins, scope mount and buffer. The polymer trigger was replaced with an aluminum version with a Power Custom adjustable sear and hammer. The barrel/stock combo is killer and balances extremely well offhand. The flat bottom of the forend rides a front rest bag well. The Vantage stock has some of the best inletting I've seen, comes with pillar installed and sling studs. It is a great stock and one you may want to consider. Prior to the Vantage this rifle originally had a Hogue stock...the Vantage is much much nicer IMO. Just need to get a silver scope and it's finished- http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/DrHeckel/KIDD/1882e497-fc59-4f6a-bb5e-6067addf2525_zps3355b478.jpg http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/DrHeckel/KIDD/1e227aeb-6673-4024-be79-91ad8d93bfbd_zpsb9f6bb4f.jpg That's hot! KIDD makes some fine accessories. I'm gonna re-evaluate my stock choice. |
