I finally have the first of this design finished. I've had it on my bench for a few months now between grinder delivery delays and then working on other projects, but here's the first.

She's 1/8" 1084 from Aldo Bruno and stabilized Oregon maple burl from Mark at Itsaburl. The pictures make it hard to see them, but the pins are 1/8" mosaic, small but pretty. The finish is a bright polish but not really a perfect mirror finish, it's a knife to actually use. It's roughly 2500 grit and then a light polish. Overall length is about 7.5" with a 3.5" modified wharny blade. The maker's mark is etched but not blackened. I decided to stick with the shiny metal look there too. It's more clear than the images can really show unless I light just for that.

The second one of these is also done, it just needs a sheath and maker's mark. Instead of burl and bright steel it's a blackened satin finish blade with black linen micarta scales. My fb page has a lousy cell phone shot but I'll do real pics once I get the sheath done.

And here's the second one, in black

I need to cleanup the smudges on the handle I guess, and rub in a bit more black polish on the right side front. It's linen micarta and sanded at a shallow angle so it's mostly showing the linen right there. Easy enough to fix, but I didn't notice it till I was editing pics.

Great looking wharnies. I really like the plunge line you do on your knives.

Thanks.
That plunge has kind of become a signature of sorts, along with my handle shape. It's not on ALL my knives but certainly most. Sometimes I bring it nearly vertical for a more traditional look but I haven't done a really straight up plunge in quite a while. It's kind of a way to cheat the handle forward on the knife as well, you can get a significant bit more blade for the same total length and grind height. *XX voice* I don't always cheat, but when I do, I cheat with an angle.
