I am considering purchasing a night vision scope.  One I have my eye on is a used American Eagle.  On the side it states "Excalibur Optics, Inc." and sports model number 501SWM.  What generation is this?  How much does something like this go for?  On the front of the scope is a lens that says "Japan TV Lens 75mm F1.4

Any information is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

DO NOT NOT NOT touch first generation...it is useless
even low quality 3rd generation is not of great use if you want to see detail over a long distance....the AN/PVS-7 is EXPENSIVE but well worth the money...teh AN/PVS-14 is awsome as well
cheap night vision may look like agood deal but buyer be ware...at night you want the advantage...not the hindrance of limited area of view or low detail/ light gain
Id love tot alk to you about it if you cantact me further
