Any reason NOT to put a Nikon brand scope on my M1A?  Quality and Durability OK?  Price is right and I can purchase with my credit card points.

Thanks

I see no reason not to.  I just mounted a Nikon Buckmasters 3-9x40 on my 30-06 hunting rifle.  It didn't move around in the rings, held zero, and was nice and clear.  Very bright as well.  I don't think I'd use this particular model past 300 yards or so, the crosshairs are a bit thick and could obscure small targets.  I'd say it's worth every cent for my purposes.  MJD

I have a Nikon Prostaff (I think that's what it's called) on my 300 WinMag. That rifle gives off a heck of a jolt, but the scope has always performed well for me and holds zero just fine. I think for the money, the Nikons are just about the best "Chevrolet" scope you can get...
