| I have a friend who owns a gun store that is non-class III. My question is, can he order short-barreled uppers for me or does it have to be a class III dealer? I guess I can order the upper myself, but he would be willing to do it for me since his cost is less. Neither he nor I are familiar enough about class III to take that next step. I don't want him to get in any trouble if it is illegal. |

I've ordered short uppers that were shipped to my front door. The only thing is do you have unused non SBR lowers? If you have a non-SBR lower with no non-SBR upper for it then you could build an illegal SBR. If you have enough non-SBR uppers to match your non-SBR uppers, then your fine (hopefully). edit: or lowers transfered as pistols, that would be ok as well |
