Looking for persons that have and use this item on their
SBR. I am looking to put one on my 10.5" barrel. I read that they make the SBR's cycle better due to the way they direct the gas out the front- not the sides. I guess my big question is for those that have/use them, are they worth $125.00 and do they pro-form as stated? Or is there another direction to look? Thanks, R |

Thanks, R Keep in mind this is coming from someone who doesn't own one. I like the looks of them but don't know how practical they are. I'd use one if I had a 10.5" that had cycling issues, otherwise there isn't much reason to add one unless you really want to. They are long and heavy...might considering putting the money into a suppressor. I say get the upper and see how it runs first before you add unnecessary length and weight. OMHO |

if your gun cycles fine with all of your ammo at all the temps you shoot, there is no need for the functional part of the KX3. if you still want to direct noise/ blast forward get a Levang (about 1/4 the weight), they are around $25. if you want to control noise/blast better get one of the Ops Inc or Surefire micro cans.

What is the actual length? I'd like to get control of the noise until I get a can. I just got my stamp back today, put an 11" together with a standard A2. I have a 7.5" and an 11.5" both with A2's, they are incredibly loud. From noveskerifleworks.com: The Noveske KX3 Flash Suppressor US PATENT 7,836,809 Made in Grants Pass,Oregon USA Heat-Treated CM Construction Phosphate Finish 7 ounces 1.35 inch Dia 3.28 inch OAL I personally wouldn't use one unless my rifle needed it to run properly or if I was mostly shooting indoors and wanted the sound to projected forward....it just weighs to much and is too long. |

Check out the Battlecomp instead. I took the pig off my Noveske 10.5" and put a battlecomp2 on there and I am VERY pleased! This sounds like some good advice, I would much rather have this one on my 10.5", plus it looks badass too. Aimsurplus has them for $140 after coupon code. (get more details in the industry section if your curious https://www.aimsurplus.com/eos/images/product/XBC20Blk2.jpg And no problem rixxie33, thanks for your comments. First ran a KX3, sold it because it was heavy with the setup I had. Tried the Battlecomp next-pretty good bit of concussion-it's about to go on the EE. In the end, switched to a lighter rail and am running another KX3. By the way OP, it's BS that the KX3s help with cycling with SBRs, they do however work great at directing the blast downrange.

I run one on my 7.5" Diplomat chambered in 6.8 SPC. I had a Vortex on it and even though the Vortex got rid of "all" of the flash the blast to the sides was horrendous and definitely not friendly to anyone who shoots next to me. I put the KX3 made for 30 cal. on it and I am now loved by all (well maybe not all, but it works). It works as advertised and will stay on my Diplomat. Not sure if it helps with cycling as my 7.5" worked just fine with the Vortex.

Had one and sold it. IMO it didn't provide enough benefit for the added muzzle heaviness. The only benefit I experienced was less concussion to the shooter and those close by. This. I had one on a 7.5" and didn't feel it did anything worth anything....to me. YMMV |

I can tell you from my own experience that the KX3 does aid in cycling. I ran one on my 10.5". It ran great. I decided to take it off to put a suppressor mount on. I started having cycling problems. Put it back on, ran fine.
That being said, if the carbine needs the KX3 to run, you have another issue that needs to be addressed. It's a crutch. I ended up opening the gas port slightly to compensate. Dave N |
I had a KX3 on my 10.5 but replaced it with a Troy Ind Claymore when I converted to the Adams piston kit. Because the weight of the KX3 and the gas block for the piston kit made it horribly front end heavy It still forces the gases forward and its not much bigger than a A2 muzzle device. I perceive it to be louder that the KX3, But I don't know if this is truth.
