| Just bought a sporterized O3A3 just about all it needs is a stock and handguard. What I need is help on takeing the front sight off so I can put on the front band. Which is easier taking off the front sight blade or the front sight base? I have tried both and I cant get those pins to budge. |

People have told me to remove the front sight blade. They also told me to use a tool made for removing and installing that pin. I think I saw that tool on Gunparts.com. The pin should not be removed completely. It should be pressed just far enough to allow the sight blade to slip out. That will make it a lot easier to push back in. The tool is sort of like the tool for adjusting the SKS or AK front sight. http://www.jouster.com/cgi-bin/03/03config.pl?#50827 The above link is the place to ask 1903 and 1903 A3 questions, they would know where to get the tool.
