At least you can replace the end cap easily... None thing I really like about my Ospreys, you'll see them coming loose before it becomes an issue. |

This. They have awesome customer service. I had baffle strikes and end cap ding cause by a wobbly mount and they had it fixed at no expense. |

Also, always make sure your booster piston is lubed. Since you said this was the first trip out, a factory installed dry piston will cause endcap strikes. A dry, carboned piston will not properly seat in the booster and allow misalignment. Happens more often than you would think. |

By the spring portion or where it enters through the o-ring? |
