I'm short (5'7") and I built the top high -- 40" -- so it falls right below my elbows, perfect for comfortable work and reloading press use. Just enough width between the bench sides to be able to walk in and turn around without hitting my hips. ETA: Yes, the SDB is mounted a little sideways -- I'm one of the "gifted few" (left-handed), and this is the best ergonomic position for me. Mount presses to one of them and use the other one next to it for anything else. Im impressed with them. I did get some angle iron and cut them into 3" sections and bolt to the table/wall to really sturdy them up. You cant beat the price of them either. I bought this second one a few months back. When I got it home I noticed one of the leg braces looked like it got ran over during packaging and was beyond repair. I called the company out of CA and told them about it. I had a replacement piece with no questions asked 4 days later. |

I can't remember what boxes measured last time I thought about adding them to my current set up but I want to say craftsmen and harbor freight had some that were nearly perfect. Do you have any of those sears outputs near you? They always have tool storage on clearance, you may need to go back a couple times. |

This may not be the thread to use, and I can start my own if need be, but I just moved recently and my 650 is crying sitting in storage now that I'm in a freedom state.
Are there are any portable, or easily broken down benches that could support a 650 w/ case feeder? I wouldn't be able to bolt it into anything, and space is at a premium. Any recommendations? |

I have ARs and a .300 WM to feed... The chargemaster is indeed the bomb...... I really am liking it. I set it up ran some powder thru it the very first time and was very surprise at how precise it is. Hornady 100V powder was spot as I checked with 2 different scales....... highest tolerance was .08 with 50 throws and not one over charge. Made my 30-06 180gr Sierra loads look really good, I cant wait to shoot em and see how they do. Varget is a lil harder powder and out of 75 throws I did get 5 over charges and .05 variance with the 75 throws but, from what I have read and seen on your tube, the other brands of electronic scales would of thrown Varget even more over. Not too mention I got a $75 rebate from RCBS this month for buying $300 worth of branded items. |

Even if you don't have room for a big fancy reloading bench there's always room to reload...even in your mom's basement 
Made from a quarter sheet of 3/4" Sande (Birch) plywood, cabinet screws, and wood glue. Chest pulls on each side and round rubber feet on the bottom. Top: 6" x 18" (2 pieces) Sides: 10.5" x 11" (2 pieces) Back: 10.5" x 16.5" (cut slightly oversize then sanded down and then gently tapped in with a hammer to fit into the sides, bottom and first of two top pieces) Base: 18" x 12" Press attached with two 3/8" bolts with big fender washers underneath. NOTE: In addition to the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme, these dimensions will also accommodate the Lee Classic Cast/Breech Lock Classic Cast/Challenger presses and probably most other single-stage presses.

Built this a year or so ago. It's not as nice as a lot of yours but it works. It's a bit of a mess since I've added a few new calibers to reload.
I built it using a Craftsman work table thing that cost me $40. I added the shelf and peg board. I needed it small because when I built it I didn't have the space for a large one. It fits perfectly in my bedroom closet so it's out of the way.  </a>" />

You guys have inspired me to take up reloading so of course, I need a bench! I went through this thread and saw some great ideas - thanks to all who posted.
Strong, sturdy and heavy - 4x4 and 2x4 build using #10 screws and Kreg pocket screws until I got tired of being so precision. 8' wide, 30' deep and 33" tall without top.
Finished up the first phase - 3/4" birch laminated plywood for the bottom shelf and 2x 3/4" birch laminated plywood for the top with a 1.5"x5" skirt. I was going to build a second shelf but decided to put a 4" deep drawer under the top instead (yet to be built). I have a Rockler T-Track system I'm going to install once I determine spacing and then I need to decide on some rear shelves.
