Okay my father just got a sig 522 classic today. My question is will cmmg mags work in the 522. I Know blackdogs will.

Yes. Velocity mag made from 597 magazine body will also work.

Heres my rig, They all work good. The CMMG had one hickup one time but never has after.

I'm intersted using Magpul sights on a 522 also, but that front sight doesn't look like it's sitting on a section of rail. Unless I'm just not seeing it and if it is sitting on a section of rail, wouldn't that raise the front sight too high?

You could stick a Samson star rail on there and attach an mbus, that's what I ended up doing anyway

If you look closely you can see the pic rail extended over the fake gas system slightly

Thanks, thought about a rail, but i really like the looks of the stock handguards.
