What if you were suddenly only able to own one gun.

What would it be?

AK74 with fun selector of course.

My XCR with my glock23 attached to the side and my P.O.F. attached to the bottom

M1 or an AR15...I'll make that decision at a later date.

Either the TDP AXR or the Keltec RFB.

HK USPc .40.

Because a concealable handgun is more useful in a wider variety of situatons.

Plus if you really, really, really need a rifle than a handgun is a good way to get one.

Seriously, it's really hard to tell someone with 1 gun why the can't have more.

Glock 17. I'm far more likely to use a handgun to defend myself than any other platform.

Sig 229 for a handgun and if I went with a rifle it would be my G3.

Right now, AKS-74, AK-74M, AK-101, or WZ-96 Beryl preferably with teh happiness.

But that might change as my tastes do.

Yep, with 3 uppers...........A2 20 inch chrome lined service type, 16 inch A2 with chrome lined barrel, and 24 inch T upper.

G19.

It's boring, but that sweet full auto M14 at home doesn't do you any good when you're getting mugged in a parking lot.

Good point.

G-19

AA 22 slide

Mech Tech CCU for a carbine weapon - probably mod this to take AR stocks and see if I can't get an AR rail installed on it....

M14... I couldn't really do that though. I'd need to have an M9 also and I don't want to be without either.

It would come to me not letting them take em if someone tryed.
Goverments can make laws, but that doesn't make them just.

I'd need a little more background info on the "why" of this sad state of affairs.

Most likely a Browning High Power if my location remained as it is now,

If I was one-gunning it in a very rural area or there had been a major societal meltdown, well that's another matter all together.

My 6920.

My Springfield M1A Stainless Loaded.

I would also own page 2 with no edits.

Remington 870 with a 20" inch smooth bore w/ iron sights and a 26" inch vent rib barrel.

Shear versatility.

Carbine may > Shotgun in Haifa, but you're going to have a hell of a time hitting flying targets / birds / small game, much less having anything left to eat with a .308.

Plus, have you ever tried to kill a bear or a moose with 5.56?  Me either.
12/20/2007 6:58:22 AM EDT

my benelli S90 with 18" bbl maybe cut to 16" the rest ammo of course. why hump
1 gun with 2-3 different uppers, AND ammo??
12/20/2007 10:05:55 AM EDT
[#29]
All horrible suggestions.
Taurus, Ruger, or S&W .357 w/4inch barrel.   FTW
12/21/2007 8:36:00 PM EDT
[#30]
Man its a tie between my AR-15 rifle and my Rem. 700 BDL 30-06. If I didn't hunt I'd probably say the AR.

Id love to have a laid out 700 PSS though.

My AR 15

[#32]

If I could only have one handgun it would be my Glock 26.  I shoot well with it and it's concealable.

If I could only have one long gun it would be my 11.5" Colt SBR.  I just like it.

12/22/2007 7:03:59 AM EDT
[#33]
Only one?? A bolt action in 223 or 308 with sights and a quality scope.
12/22/2007 6:16:16 PM EDT
[#34]
IF it was only one it would have to be a handgun. So I would keep my Glock 19.

ETA: I would also add a Advantage Arms .22 conversion kit and a can
12/22/2007 6:57:20 PM EDT
[#35]
If only one handgun:
Wilson 1911

If only one rilfe:
Springfield M1A

If forced to choose between the two, I'd probably say the Wilson.
12/22/2007 8:43:57 PM EDT
[#36]
One handgun, CZ 75 P-01
One rifle, my AR15 of course. ( 20" A2 )

Glock 19.

When the zombies attack, there will be plenty of rifles to go around.
12/23/2007 6:33:07 AM EDT
[#40]
Only the one they knew about.
12/23/2007 6:57:58 AM EDT
[#41]
I would take a Loricin .380!!

In actuality, I like the idae of an AR w/ a bunch of uppers.

But, I would have to go with the T/C Encore.  Although just a single shot (which shouldn't matter if one can shoot worth a shit), this is the most versitle gun on the planet.  It is a handgun, shotgun, or rifle depending on how it is set up.  It can shoot a .22lr to 45/70 and everthing in between!

12/23/2007 7:26:39 AM EDT
[#42]
An AR-15 in 6.8SPC lots of ammo + mags

Light enough to carry all day

Accurate, Range out to 650+yards

Big enough for hunting game larger than deer to 300+yds

Fire power for hoards of Zombies!

This would also be an excellent choice though, from above post
Springfield M1A Stainless Loaded.

[#43]
AR-15 SBR in 6.8SPC. Ko-tonics 12.5" 1:11 barrel shooting 115gr BTHPs at 2500fps. Aimpoint T-1 for its always-on snapshoot reticle, IOR 1.1-4x for its great reticle, great glass, and bulletproof construction. Muzzle adapter is for a Surefire can, which will ride with this rig when my Form 4 clears. This single rifle is short enough for CQB, yet shoots a cartridge capable of bringing down game up to 350lbs or so with a 0-500 yard effective range against targets of the two-legged variety.

My first response would be an AK, but I seen something of interest just the other day...
Knight's PDW 6mm with the 10" barrel. Nah... AK
12/23/2007 6:12:52 PM EDT
[#45]
Hard decision......would opt for a long gun.

Either a POF piston-driven AR-15 or a Galil AR. Due to the number of available accesories and magazine options, then it would be the POF AR-15.
12/23/2007 7:28:05 PM EDT
[#46]
.243 DSArms fn fal with 19 inch barrel.
12/24/2007 11:55:57 AM EDT
[#47]
My AR-180B fed with Magpul P-Mags and my Aimpoint on top.

Smith & Wesson Model 66-2 Target

I can load both .38 S&W Special and .357 Magnum loads for it. It's a good well rounded six shot double action revolver. I can hit targets at a pretty far range with this service revolver and I don't have to worry about magazines or other little gizmos to lose. And in the end if it's a SHTF type problem then I can easily get rifles and other firearms from bad guys.

As for me selling my arms and keeping only one then I'd have to say I'd kept my Colt AR-15A3 tactical...
