Finally treating myself to a new 1301 Mod 2. Need help deciding on optic and mount. Right now I’m leaning towards Reptilia SADDLE and HE509T. I do have a spare RMR Type 2 laying around though. If that route, then Aridus CROM? Considering a good cheek weld and co-witness of irons, what else should I be looking at? Attached File Attached File |

I love the closed emitter and robustness of the 509, but it doesn't co-sight with the CROM (which kind of sucks). I may end up getting the lower profile 508T, which keeps some of the robustness, but will co-witness. the CROM is great, but not a good match for the 509 for co-witness. ROCK6 |

I installed a couple of these recently on non-Berettas and they are simple and well made. Price is good. GG&G RMR Mount. |

I have a Magpul SGA stock that I'm going to install with an adapter, and the bolt that holds the factory stock on it is being pretty stubborn as well. I picked up a small heat gun to try to budge the thread locker on the bolt. |

The long factory stock bolt on mine was incredible easy to remove....exactly opposite of what 90% report. Today I completely disassembled my 1301, cleaned it and put it back together to make sure there wasn't something else that wasn't torqued or loose. Also added Aridus charging handle and bolt release. |

| Another vote for the LTT Fastback. One of the advantages they sell it with (and you may or may not see it as an issue - that is up to you) is that it sets the optic more rear-set of the ejection port, allowing less obstruction to over-the-top ejection port loading of single shells. |

I started with the GG&G on my Gen 2 but the screws sucked really bad. Ended up moving to the Scalarworks mount which was exceptional but costly. I am a few months in using the Mesa Tactical ACRO mount that also is a side saddle. It is good for what it is but if it wasn’t for the ability to have a fixed side saddle I’d still be using the Scalarworks. I haven’t used the Reptila mount but I have several Reptila mounts on ARs and LPVO mounts, all of their stuff is exceptional. I wouldn’t think twice about using their mount if I need another one. |
