Has anyone here done this thru the Benchmade web site?

http://www.benchmade.com/customize/default.aspx

They offer 4 types of steel, 12 blade options, laser engraving, silver or black hardware, and a bunch of grip colors.

Seen a lot of them, but I do not have one myself...I would order one if they had gray.

What are you getting?

They went up $10 since I last visited them.

Blue looks snazzy.

If they have what you want listed, I really can't imagine going too wrong.

If they had one with serrations, I'd order one tonight.

I haven't decided yet.  I had a mini and loved it... Lost it when I moved, it's in a box somewhere

Looking at full size with the standard blade (clip point?) with no serrations (cuz all my other folders have them).  I want to go tan grips and all metal (blade, liner, screws, and lock) black.  Looks very cool on the site!

I can get the 60% off deal, so I'm considering getting the SV30 steel (I think that's it).  Don't know if it's worth the extra $$.

I considered an Infidel OTF, since Texas law is apparently changing in September to allow switchblades, but I watched a youtube review and he said it's a great knife but not a great value (usefullness).  I'm looking for EDC use...

I really dig the light blue.  I will eventually get mini in that color, all metal silver tone.

Thinking the sheepsfoot blade... Might be a little too "Spyderco" though, lol.

I got one a few months ago.  Probably took 2-3 weeks total, but I had mine engraved.  Everything was good to go on it.

Did you have any specific questions about the process?

You can order it with partial serrations, or did you mean you'd like one fully serrated?

I was wondering how long it would take... 2-3 weeks is cool.

How is the engraving?  I could see getting a special knife or two... Might even have this one engraved.

I was happy with the engraving.  The snake's head looks worse in the picture than it does in person, but I honestly can't remember if it came that way or just got a little worn down.

I got a full-sized Griptilian, all black, in S30V.  It's pictured next to my old Mini Griptilian.

I have a mini with the light blue handle, plain blade, silver.  I get tired of all black.  The Navy handle with black blade and hardware looks cool.

Partial.  I must have missed that with a drop point.  Will be going back.

Thanks for the heads up.

Edit... wow... if it had been a snake, it would have bit me.

Cool..if you are looking for an EDC, then the full size Grip is for you. Be sure to post pics when you get it. This could be the defacto customized griptilian thread!
