I work part time for a shop that use to sell Silencerco suppressors and I purchased at cost a new Osprey 9 that has been there for a while. The Osprey has no piston and I need one for my SIG226 a 13.5 x 1 LHM. does anyone know where I can get one? I'm going to call Silencerco a call tomorrow and see if they will sell me one even though we don't carry their cans anymore. The other question I have is we had some parts and pieces lying around and I found two pistons one is a 1/2 x 24 with a fixed barrel spacer and the other is a 5/8 x 24 with the spring, will the spring work on my 13.5 x 1 I need? I'm not sure if there are different springs for 9mm and .45 ACP. hopefully it will work on the piston I need and I'll be set. I'll list these two pistons and barrel spacer on the exchange to fund my piston.

Pistons are retail items, so doesnt matter who buys them.  And the spring should be the same i would think.

If you work for a gun shop it would probably be easier to order one through a wholesaler. Acusport, Lipseys, RSR and Amchar all carry Silencerco and should have pistons in stock. You're probably not going to get them on the phone until the first of the year. Their pistons are for sale on their website as well. Silencershop also carries them.

I would think that the spring would be the same but be advised- that spring may be a controlled part. It is crazy, I know- and I couldn't make this shit up if I tried. If they order that spring from McMaster Carr and it's a common spring no problem. If they make it in house, as Silencerco does a lot of their parts, or they contract a machine shop to make the spring for them and the only use in the universe is in a silencer then it is a silencer part the very same as a baffle. It's ATF that considers all parts of a silencer to be considered a controlled part, unless it has another purpose.

You have two pistons there- a 1/2-28 and a 5/8-24. The 5/8-24 is intended for use on a .300 BLK rifle using subsonics only. That is one of the reasons it has the fixed barrel spacer.

Double check the threads on your handgun. make sure that the thread protector comes off righty losey, not righty tighty. Sig in their infinite retardation thread SOME of their 9mm pistols 1/2-28 and others M13.5-1 LH. Again, I could not make this shit up.

We use all distributors you mentioned and have bought directly from Silencerco and are a dealer for them we tend to carry more AAC cans. I was going to call Silencerco today just didn't get around to it maybe after the holidays after all I have a 6 or 7 month wait on the can. Thanks for the information I do appreciate it.
Spring could be they don't list them online I tried buying the cheesy spring clip on an early AAC M4-1000 and that is a. Controlled part.
