I had a few issues with my M4-96D (Nothing to do with the mount, so you AAC Kool-Aid drinkers, don't go there!).  I sent it off overnight to Gemtech and when it arrived, I spoke at length with Phil about my issues and he said that he would have it taken care of in a few days.  By the end of the same day, Phil calls me up and lets me know that it is on my way back!!  I couldn't believe that he dropped everything, handled my stuff and got it back out to me.  Now that is what I call customer service.

We all complain and bitch about service from most all companies out there.  It was very refreshing to be treated like I was the first in line.  Image, a company as big as Gemtech, and as much.gov business as they do, taking the time for one small customer.

That is outstanding in my book!!  Go Gemtech!!!

Edited to add that they didn't charge me a red cent, and paid for shipping back to me.

When I got my SOS45 in '04, I had a problem with the compatibility. They had it back to me in a week, having built a new endcap to fit my gun. Very good service, and not only was Dr Dater a great guy, he wouldn't take money for it either. I also have a Gemtech M4-02, but since it hasn't had any problem, I haven't had to call on their customer service again.

Yeah, after all of the service related issues brought up lately, it was refreshing to say the least.  No mis-communications with e-mail or several people chiming in from one company.

Got my can back the other day and all I can say is "OUTFUCKINGSTANDING"!  Phil cleaned the can inside to like new condition and took care of the issue I had.  Great service from a great company!  

Other companies on this forum only wish they could take care of their customers this well.  Good luck all of you Kool-Aid drinkers!!! (You know who you are)

I don't think that makes a lot of sense.

If someone isn't providing customer service to this standard, it's probably because they aren't "wishing" hard enough.  

It is outstanding customer service to get the can fixed and out the door the same day though.  kudos for Gemtech.

Stories like this are exactly the reason that I bought a HALO and Outback II.  I've got a reputation for bad luck with my NFA stuff (3 blown up cans and one KB'd machingun) and having a manufacturer who can get you back up and running with minimal cost and down time is invaluable to me.
