Hey guys - I'm upgrading my PASGT helmet with the Skydex upgrade kit. I seem to have an issue where the cup on the chinstrap is not lining up with the centerline of the helmet.
A picture is probably worth a thousand words here. I 'think' the buckle side appears to be the proper length, while the non-buckle side may be too short? 
Does anyone else have this same set-up who can offer an opinion? The difference in right side vs. left side length is about 1.5". If you adjust the straps for that, it causes the harness on the left side to be at my ear lobe level, while on the right it is over an inch below my ear lobe. It is very non-symmetrical. Thanks for any input here. |

I emailed them a few days ago. I actually got two responses today. The first one right before I posted. Guy said this was normal, and that's why I posted. I just did not believe it as it seems impossible to have things line-up correctly. The buckle side measure 2.25" with the other side is only 0.75". So, I was looking for opinions.
Just a little while ago, I got another email from a different person. He did not comment on the photo, but simply said they are sending me another kit. So, we'll see. I'll update when I get the replacement. Other than this issue, the kit beats the snot out of the old suspension. |
| I am happy to report that a free replacement (entire kit actually) arrived from Skydex today. I immediately compared the two chinstraps and the first one was definitely too short on one side. The replacement non-buckle side is much longer, and the fit is now great. Kudos to Skydex for making it right. I am very happy with the upgrade kit now! |
