Hey guys, I have a PASGT with the standard suspension system.  Do you think it is worth it to upgrade the liner to the current (or the PASGT upgrades that were used) setup?  Let me rephrase that--I am not in combat.  I really just want to upgrade for SHTF / hurricane helmet.  That said, what kit should I get and how easy is the install?  I googled this and the first thing that popped up was Oregon Aero.  But I have no idea what is good and what is crap and what is too expensive for what it is and what is a good deal.

If it matters, I have a large helmet.  Thanks for the help, guys.

Assuming that it has the newer of the old style suspension (without the little metal brackets that clip on to the steatband portion) just upgrade the chin strap to a 3-point chinstrap from Brigade Quartermasters.

There are metal brackets attaching the suspension band to the helmet, but the sweat band attached with velcro straps.  I don't have much experience with PASGT.  The upgraded chin straps sound like a good idea, but what about the padding of the various upgrade kits?

What about this type of kit?

Kit at Brigade Quartermaster

I am assuming it requires drilling and that sort of thing.  Nothing like that would be a problem for me.  Like I said before, I just don't want to overpay or buy crap.

The SDS BLU upgrade makes a huge difference, but an ACH is better

it is the Oregon Aero BLSS kit to be exact .... replaces the entire internal suspension setup including chin strap

The Oregon Aero kit is awesome but it's also spendy.

The three point strap mentioned above will make a big difference for much less bucks.
