How's it going bros? So I picked up a new PK last month, cool pistol. First time to the range I was using Federal bulk pack from Wally world and it ran pretty good a few fail to feeds and ejects but nothing major. Since then the only mod I made was a GemTech thread adaptor for my Surefire can. I noticed when I was tightening down the thread adaptor right before it got tight that the bbl turned about a 1/4in or so? I know I didn't over tighten it I was being gentle, WTF? So I turned it a little more and it seemed to tighten up so I went ahead and put my Surefire suppressor adaptor on. Today I went to the range this time with Remington bulk and I had nothing but problems from the first shot every other shot was a Fail to feed, fail to eject, fail to fire and I had 2 case head separations that I had to use a cleaning rod to tap out the broken shell casings!!! BAD AMMO??? After the second head separation I called it quits and took the pistol home disassembled it cleaned and inspected it. I didn't find any broken parts I did find a small spring laying on the workbench when I went to put it back together? I don’t know where it came from, the lower somewhere I imagine?  What do you guys thing, send this puppy back to ATI or what? Thanks

I know everyone loves pics so here is my broken ass pk....

Sounds like the barrel rotated to me-when you look in the chamber,is the notch for the extractor in the right place?

Your barrel screw is loose allowing the barrel to rotate.  I had a similar problem, gun was shot a lot with the barrel in the wrong position & the barrel had to be replaced as a result.

Bingo! this does happen and is probably what is up with yours as well verify for safety sake that all screws are tight and loctite them as well better to do it now take her completely apart and clean then blue loctite to help those darn screws from backing out. You will be shocked at how many will be very loose at least I was. That's why I replaced mine and loctite them all good so far. now every few thousand rounds I detail strip and clean and verify the crews are tight. I am sure you will find the issue and she will run like a top from then on and also your PK looks bad ass!
