| Very nice shawn! How do you like that rear sight? Is that a chromed para carrier? Did you get it form GPG? I had an inch chrome carrier in my imbel but it was giving me touble (bolt over bullets) so I took it out. It does look cool though. |

David, The kit was painted by the owner before I assembled it on the receiver. It is a sand color auto paint. It won't survive if it is sprayed down with brake cleaner, but it does allow one to experiment with different paint schemes or use a temporary pattern.

It's some shitty thing my buddy had laying around. The gun is .223 and accepts m16 mags. He is a commie rifle nut and didn't have any good ones at the time.

 I love the L1A1s. Yours is very nice. Is that the original finish? I'm building one up right now. Wish I had a Lithgow receiver for it! I might just settle for an entreprise.

| Yes that is the original finish. The rifle was produced by Lithgow in 1972 for the Aussie Militery (It has the Broad Arrow marks). Then it was sold/issued to the Singapore Police Force and eventually ended up here in the states, where I snapped it up from a pawn shop. |
