| With a remote possibilty that I may have to relocate to the People's Republic of Kalifornia, can anyone give me a rough idea of just how bad things are? I saw some kind of a mention about a cartridge tax? WTF? I guess I just want to know just how bad things may be if I had to go for work reasons. Are AR's banned there for chrissakes? |
| i used to live there and i cant say much about except for ,IT SUCKS.i have heard that there might be a bullet tax coming next year for them but i dont know if thats really happening.i deffinetly know that you cant have the post ban ar15s. im sure that there are other guys that can tell you what will happen the place but thats what i have heard.oh and before i forget, they are also planning for next year that for every firearm you buy in ca.,if it goes active, that you must have a ca. qualified safe also which means the safes there are going to sky rocket in price. i would say that you should try your best to stay where you are or go some place better. |

Bullet tax and 50 ban are gone for now. Expect them back next year after elections. The Dem's control both houses and can pass just about anything. Everything thats fun, interesting, or the least bit dangerous is illegal in Calif. You can't bring any "Assault Weapons" with you. Calif is a place to move away from not to... caag.state.ca.us/firearms/ |

Greetings As the exalted...dare I say revered?....governor of California, I would like to be the first to actually welcome you to our great state. Because of evil corrupt private corporations, we are suffering quite a budget deficit this year. Every new tax payer we can import helps. Thanks! I look forward to spending your tax dollars teaching illegal aliens how evil America used to be before socialism took over, in spanish. As for your desire to either bring with you or purchase evil scary firearms here, don't bother. As noted, super evil baby killing assault weapons have been removed from the hands of irresponsible peons like yourself. Our streets are so safe elderly caucasian women now feel perfectly at ease strolling through any area of our cities, at any hour of the day. Any handguns you bring with you must be registered with the DOJ within 60 days of your arrival. This is so we know where to come looking when it's time to confiscate them. Not much to say beyond that...hope you like traffic, bad air, amazingly low taxes, and languages other than english! |

heh... Let me know what handguns you bring in if u move.. Kaliban doesn't allow the purchase of many rarer pistols from a FFL, but you CAN private transfer..=D Seriously though.. it DOES suck since u can't own anything remotely close to an Evil black rifle if you didn't register em.. As for the ranges...southern kaliban isn't bad at all. Most shooters friendly, and people seem to be aware of the crap situation and support each other. I've seen some definite illegal shit though... People going out into the desert and spraying full auto..lol..no not bumping but full auto.. ahem.. not like im guilty of such a thing. ![]() OTOH, foods good, things are cheap, hell car's are cheap. If you smoke, cigarettes arent taxed as bad as other places....although i remember some idiot recently tried to raise the smoking age to 21.. As Paul stated, enjoy the weather...is damn well always cool to hot...never freezing cold. And thankfully, nowhere near as humid as Florida (mah poor cigars) Troy summed it up i guess, biggest booboo is no assault and no high capacity mags, that includes stuff for ur pistol though. If you got a buddy in Nevada or something, i suggest you leave it with him. best of luck |

A neighbor down the street recently moved here from California. I asked him why he moved to Colorado. He said "because it's not California." That is one fvcked-up state. You guys forgot to mention the public school system is the pits. I believe I would rather move to Uganda or Iceland than move to California. |
| Sweet Jesus, I was thinking to myself "you guys are kidding!", but upon reflection, I don't put anything past Kali. It's sad, a rifle that you can buy elsewhere no problem is a BIG problem in one self-righteous state. I'll need to do some research now-thank you all for the links and input (I like graydavis's response). As it stands, Edwards AFB seems to be where I'll end up at the moment. It's nice to know that the state gov't knows what's best for you. I'm gonna miss FL gun laws ;-) |
If your military on base, you can bring your guns, and keep them on base. So I've seen other people say before. |
A great excuse to start buying a bunch of guns again. When you come here, leave all your "assualt weapons" behind(visit them often), then buy a bunch of new stuff here. Some nice guns you can still buy here: M1A M1 Garand M1 Carbine Mini-14 Mini-30 Ruger Ranch Rifle SKS |

You are welcome to visit me in Fresno, not too far away. I have some really nice assualt weapons we could go in shoot. The 5 cent tax probably will not pass. A politician in Alameda county is pushing the idea. All it would do is kill bullet purchases in PRK. Nevada is close by to purchase ammo. I bought tons so I do not have to worry. The DOJ has a list of guns you can buy in california. I have lived her 42 years. I think the laws sucks. I do not know how much more I want to take. I did not like having to register my four AW. The doj suspects only 10% were actually registered. Contact me if you come into town. ralph |

Hey ralph, I just may take you up on that offer. I found this ridiculous bill--wedrive.org/about.html what the hell is wrong with people in this "civilized" state? I am also going to assume that high power service rifle matches no longer exists in that state. Can ammo be mail-ordered into Kali, or is that illegal as well now? I'll have to find out for sure about keeping my "illegals" on base-this is getting worse by the moment. A 5 cent tax proposal on ammo?? Anything for a buck, or penny by penny....... |
|
damn look at taht shit Sanbernadino and riverside county voted for bush, shit even orange county voted for bush... and crappy ass LA county got al bore heh WE CAN OWN A m1 CARBINE??? where can i find one?? damn it!!! Why did i think that was banned??' anyone know the prices? |
| It's too bad we can't separate the state into two parts, each half with their own Governor and Legislature. We've already got an Alta and Baja California; maybe we need an east and west California too. Not another state, but just a jurisdictional separation that better represents its constituents. Right now, there is a tyranny of the majority forcing rules on everyone from extremely distant parts of the state. |

From the calnra website posted above HR35 Recommends that all police officers be designated as "federal deputies" in order to carry firearms on all modes of public transportation Hmm.... I thought that only the Feds could make people "federal deputies"..... From the HR35 bill: Resolved, The federal or state government shall ensure that worker' s compensation and death benefits are provided on behalf of any off-duty police officer injured or killed while taking action in defense of homeland security; Why should non cali people pay for a cali cop's death?? SCREW CALI !!!!!!!! |
|
Again, the state gov't knows what's best for you--www.dailynews.com/news/articles/0802/15/new11.asp The Kaliban leading the way, oy vey! |
I bought my Winchester at Armory of Orange. Expect to pay about $525.00 for an all GI rifle. Less for a Blue Sky repatriot. Even less for a commercial knockoff. |

How is your lungs? I lived in Hermosa and Redondo Beach 40 years ago, worked at LAX Airport. Rode a bike(Norton)to work from the beach to the airport, looked at this brown cloud of something(smog) that I kept driving into till I reached the tunnel (green light meant enough fumes that you could drive under the run way tunnel about one mile with out dying) . Then I could ride to the employee parking lot to catch a tram to the airport terminal. Funny thing after you got into the brown smog you didn't see it anymore. Cause you were acclimated to it,as it was now a part of you. So anyway to make a long story short, are you going to get enough money to make it worth your lungs and life? And apathy abounds,if a friend of yours is ever evolved in a fight you just can't wade in and help him out as twenty people will be standing around asking you,are you sure you are right in what you are doing? And is that a leather jacket? that you are wearing, and of coarse you will reply yes you dumb fuck after you ate that fillet-mion the cow had no use for it and I crafted it into a jacket! But all in all if you have a good hunk of hair, nice teeth smile and people skills and can say buyy buy where it doesn't sound too much like bend-over. You will do just fine. And you wont want or need,or have the right to have guns either. Sounds good huh? I'm 1400 miles from the Ocean that I miss, but still get lots of sun. I feel that you can make the best of it! Good luck Bob |
