Okay, after a small delay my "Adjust-A-Pulls" arrived today: mpftech.4gunlovers.com/ Using nothing but what came in the envelopes it only took about 15min per PS90 to install them (going slowly on the kitchen table, didn't want to risk breaking something expensive), installation went smooth w/no problems encountered except those caused by my fumbling fingers. The very complete instructions recommend initially setting it at the middle/3rd setting (appx 5.5lbs) but I wanted just a little lighter so I set mine at the 2nd setting which is appx 4.8lbs (pull selections are appx 4, 4.8, 5.5, 6.3 & 7). After the first install I compared the AAP pull to the 2nd PS90's factory pull. Big difference! I don't have a way to accurately measure the new pull's weight but it's definitely much lighter (I think the 4lb setting may be too light) and makes the other problems associated w/bullpup linkages much more tolerable, IMHO. I think double taps are going to be much easier to do now. I'm headed to the range this weekend and will post a range report when I've had the chance to test this a bit. So far I'm very impressed w/the ease of installation, actual affect on trigger pull and that it makes no permanent mods to the trigger pack. Tomac |

Try hitting the butt of the PS90 on a hard object (table or something that won't marr or damage the PS90) to see if the hammer will accidentally release. IIRC the drop safety is only designed for a muzzle impact and not an impact coming from the rear of the weapon. Nonetheless I am intrigued and am glad the aftermarket for the PS90 is still strong! |
This has been mentioned as something to be aware of, just like not having a trigger pull that's less than the weight of the rifle (I don't know about that one... pretty much all my AK triggers have been substantially less than the weight of the trigger pull and no problems experienced). However, I consider the person behind the trigger to be the real safety (ie: mechanical safety devices aren't a substitute for safe gun handling) and since I always use a sling that points the bbl down when the PS90 is released I don't think I have to worry too much about a sudden impact on the back of the buttplate w/the loaded PS90 pointing in an unhealthy direction.. Okay, gave this a try up to a height of 24" (sorry, guys... I'm not going to risk damaging any part of the PS90 by going any higher) and at no time did the hammer fall on impact (I actually pulled the trigger pack after each drop test to visually verify the hammer hadn't fallen). Tomac |

Just got back from doing a cold-weather test of the Adjust-A-Pull. Temp was 20F w/a bright and clear morning. 120rds of SS195 fired, encountered no problems of any kind & double taps out to 100yds using gloves are much faster and easier to make now. Setting #2 (appx 4.8lbs) appears to be a good compromise between lightness and safety. Unless a catastrophic problem/failure of some kind occurs this is a keeper for me... Tomac |
Agreed and you're welcome. The deal-maker for me is that it doesn't permanently alter the trigger pack so if you're not happy with it for some reason you can restore the trigger pack to its original condition (I wouldn't have tried this if it permanently altered the trigger pack in any way). Shucks and other comments! I just received an email that MPF has decided to pull the Adjust-A-Pull from the market and refund previous purchases due to legal concerns that a very small chance (1:1,000,000 was quoted) might exist that a buttstock drop could detonate a live rd (although testing has yet to produce such a result). I saw that on the PS90 forum. That's too bad.... Visit: ps90forum.com |
Damn...I hope they get things worked out. I could really use that thing for my PS90. I love the PS90, but I hate the darn trigger (typical of EU triggers for some reason ie. FN, HK, Steyr). |
