Haha, as I was scrolling down with the mouse I was thinking "Hmmm, that's very Sturmgewehr-like" and then *bam*! There's your stg44.

Nicely done OP, where'd you get the wood PG? RTG? Or from John?

The wood (and everything else) came from RTG, (gun cam from CDNN $850.00) all I did was wipe it down with acetone then put 3 applications of this:http://www.thegunstockdoctor.com/ on it.

Unfortunately I have yet to shoot it so I can't answer your question. I will be getting it out in March and will report back then. I can tell you this steel mags won't fit. I plan to use Bulgarian and tapco mags in it.

Some steel AK-47 mags fit fine. Actually every steel mag I've got will fit with a little filing(of the mag).
But the modern plastic variants fit best. The Bulgarian AK47 ones seem best.
