Hi Everyone,

I recently acquired a PTR91, but the rifle arrived with the flash hider removed.

I'm trying to thread it back on, but noticed that after a few turns it won't turn easily anymore.  I don't think it's anywhere close to where it needs to be after these few turns.

The flash hider has a little wire spring that fits inside of it.  Does this need to be removed or manipulated before I can thread it onto the barrel all the way?  Or do I just need more leverage/torque to get it installed?

Thanks in advance.

The military barrel has a toothed outer ring that is enagaged by this wire to prevent rotating off, I guess.

Just keep twisting, and I suppose you coult use a tool to lever up the spring to get it over the edge of the barrel.
