I have a ptr91K and was wondering what durability to expect...i have many rounds through it but was wondering how many rounds you good people have fired through your PTR's/Cetmes/HK91s and has it worn in well....anyone ever shot out a barrel  ? parts break after ?? number of rounds... reciever good for how many rounds/barrel swaps....trunion life ?
just general long term issues or strong points for this system... feel free to post photo's of your well worn rifle if you like

| I have a PTR-91SC,I love the thing.I have only put about 700-800 rounds through it,but so far so good.I have buddies that have PTR-91's that have put a few thousand rounds through it and have never had to replace so much as a spring.Luck maybe but the later serial numbered PTR's are pretty damn sturdy. |

Yeah, it seems that the rifles built after the company switched from JLD Enterprises to PTR-91 are better. In fact, a co-worker of mine recently contacted PTR-91 and was informed that they will not honor warranty work on their older JLD 91's. |

Funny, mine's one of the last JLD guns and it runs like a raped ape after a few thousand rounds of .308 and probably close to a couple million rounds (ok, that's a slight exaggeration) of .22lr in a G3 kit. I have yet to replace a part other than the forearm, but I'm getting close to rollers I think.
I'm guessing PTR will not do warrantee work on JLD guns because they only offered (and still do) a one year deal. I'd be willing to bet they won't do warrantee work on a PTR gun that was more than a year old either. |

Incs new barrel and perfer the JLD specs |

Anyone install a set of wood furniture on their PTR? I just ordered a set from Copes. Gene mines a 19 inch version and uses hk93 style handguards....im not sure if they have wood hk93 handgaurds but if they do i cant find any....otherwise mine wood have wood on it...but right now it has a wide hk handguard and a folding stock from ptr |
