I know about the ubiquitous adapter that clamps onto the PVS 14 eyepiece retaining ring and has 46mm threads to interface with the camera... but does anyone make an adapter that actually takes the place of the eyepiece retaining ring (i.e. threads into the ocular lens?) It would be nice to not have so many different pieces and doohickeys to attach - just a threaded ring that goes from eye lens directly to camera filter threads

I just use step up rings from eBay. I probably have less than $10 into it. http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a519/knorbs/pvs-14/NCM_0669_zpsfvju3rar.jpg yeah that's what I'm talking about can you please post the part names/numbers/descriptions or at least the thread pitch of the rings you used? (I don't know what threading the pvs ocular uses) the camera has female threads and so does the pvs ocular, all the step up/down rings I've seen are either M-F of F-M - never seen one that was M-M |
| I'm not sure what the thread pitch is but any male 30mm lens ring will thread in perfect. I searched eBay and found a 30mm to 52mm (my camera lens is 52mm) step up ring, then after a bunch more searching I found a 52mm male to male reverse coupling ring. It works perfect. |
