Quick question, I just picked up a set of PVS-7a's (with the dovetail mount on the case) but I have a bayonet style skull crusher.  Anyway to get those two to play nice with each other?

TIA

I am pretty sure TNVC carries an adapter for that.

**edit** Nope I was wrong....they have an adapter that adapts horn to dovetail......not dovetail to horn.....

Unless you've used and are willing to accept the pain that comes with a skull crusher, I think the money may be better put toward some sort of non-ballistic helmet, shroud (if not integral to the helmet you choose) and a mount that accepts the dovetail. The skull crusher has that name for a reason

If you must have a skull crusher mount, Litton made one for the 7A's that accepts a dovetail, though I would agree that a helmet solution is probably superior.

You can find them on eBay:

There have been a bunch of Norotos TATM mounts going for right around $100-150 lately, that would work out nicely for your needs. The TATM is a little lacking in eye relief for most monoculars but work excellent with the dovetail position on the 7A.

Alternatively, you can get a Norotos RHNO-II and then buy the AKA2 dovetail socket from TNVC and with a slight mod, swap out the bayonet socket for the dovetail one, and probably also be right around 100 bucks total, and this system uses the standard bracket interface instead of the TATM "shroud" interface.

Are the PVS-15 Norotos Mounts compatible with the PVS-7A/C?
