I was looking at Shotgun News today and saw Falcon Arms has Para lowers that come with bolt and some other small Para parts.  Is a conversion that simple?  To go from a full size  rifle to a folding Para version?

yes and no......the falcon unit i believe has all of the internals etc....it will bolt on to your rifle with no prob...you need a para top cover and bolt carrier...normally the receiver would have to be cut for the para dust cover but they make them now so that you can use a no nose para dust cover....

What Patroni said.

Additionally, there are no differences between the internals of the para lower and a conventional lower, they are interchangable.  So, unless you really want a seperate, complete para lower, all you really need is the lower itself and the folding stuck and folding knuckle.

And as Patroni said, you will still need a para bolt carrier, springs and spring guide and the topcover.  Nose and no-nose top covers are available if you don't have or don't want the para cut to the upper receiver.

Paras came in 21" and shorter.  So you don't have to get the barrel shortened.

The last para I built using new or refinished to like new parts and an Imbel receiver ran to just about $1500.  A conversion kit will be around $500 or so depending on whose you chose.

It's doable, have fun.
