I was just given a pardner pump protection. Is there anything that needs to be done to this gun other than go shoot it?

From my google search and from breaking the gun down, it looks like it's just a Chinese copy of a Remington 870. I have a few semi auto shotguns that I hunt with but wouldn't mind having the option to use the pump. Will any parts from an 870 fit like a barrel and furniture on the pardner?

870 furniture should fit fine. I believe barrels need to be modified to work on the pardner pump.

Furniture will fit, barrels will not.

Only thing I found with mine was sharp edges. My buddy sliced open his thumb loading it.

I guess I'll keep an eye out for some 870 takeoff wood furniture. Who can I get a barrel from, H&R? If it'll cost more than the gun's worth then I'll just keep the Pardner at 18.5" and just get an 870.

Prolly a good choice. Good guns though

I've got the same shotgun. Furniture, accessories, and the like will fit , but you have to get the barrel from H&R. I picked mine up about 6 months ago from Gander Mountain for $179. It's been a great gun for the 500 rounds I've ran through it so far. I like the 18.5 barrel on it.

An easier way of making 870 barrels work is to make a spacer. I have done this and it works very nicely.
