Mike,

Thanks for the link. Have you done it with these products, happy with the end result?

I need to do 2 M1A receivers that came poorly done from the factory (JRM/ARMSCORP)

I'm down with ordering and giving it a go, anyone else with some feedback on DIY.

Thanks,
David.

Sorry nope I haven't, but I have seen several jobs done by my gunsmith using these products and they seemed as good as my factory rifles and when asked about the work he said it really wasn't all that difficult to do so I saved the link.....

I've used the stuff that Lauer sells and it works really good and is easy to use.

Here is some good info on how to do it.  I didnt use the blackening solution on the ones that I did cause I didnt want them to be that dark.

Here is my FAL that I did with the Lauer solution.  The upper reciever was factory done.

Parkerizing isn't really difficult, it just takes attention to detail to get good results.  Looks like eastky's FAL is a great example of how good a gun can looked when the person doing the parking is paying attention.

If you plan to do only two receivers, then it's probably not cost effective to buy a park setup.  I'd recommend farming out the work to one of the 'smiths well known for park work, such as Mark "gunplumber" Graham at Arizona Resonse Systems.  Parking a bare receiver shouldn't set you back too much.
