I'm planning on painting my AR that has all FDE furniture, I want to only paint the receiver and rail with alumahide Coyote or similar with a laundry bag for pattern. I'm only going top paint 4 light stripes on each side if the rifle just to break up the appearance of the rifle. Any suggestions if this will work and pictures of similar paint jobs are appreciated.

That's money right there, no need to douse the entire rifle in paint, just enough to make it look great.
