I know there have been thousands of threads like this, I'm having a hard problem deciding on a .22 can and am looking for any input.  I've done a lot of research and have narrowed my candidates down to the Gemtech Outback II, SWR Warlock and AAC Pilot.  A dealer close has a Outback II in stock for cheap, the other a few hours away has a Pilot for the same price (about $280) and of course both are willing to get ahold of a Warlock, most likely at MSRP.

Have any of you heard all these together or own any or a few?  What are your thoughts on each, and which do you think is best?  (I'd be using it on my 10/22 with a Tac Sol threaded barrel, below.) The Pilot and Outback are sitting 1 2 as of now, both having decent warantees and friendly sales staff and similar testing results.  I'd be getting a better deal on the Pilot, and it comes with a pouch and cool box , but I wanted to see what all of you thought before I took the plunge.

Heres the host for now, a Sig Mosquito or Walther P22 later.

They are all excellent suppressors.   I'd go with the one he has in stock, and save yourself a month or more in the process.

I have the Outback II and I think it is a great can. I would buy another without question. But if you can get the Pilot for a good price go for it.

+1  Outbacks are fine cans.  The weight (or lack there of) is very impressive, not to mention the noise reduction.  I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I too have an OutbackII and LOVE it.  It is stupid quiet and rediculously light weight.  That said, I just ordered an AAC Prodigy because I want a high quality rimfire can that I can readilly take apart and clean from time to time.  I have no doubt that my gemtech will last me many years of blasting fun but I cannot ignore the pictures and reliable accounts of how dirty rimfire cans get.  Again, my gemtech is awesome and i would not take back the purchase, but you may also want to consider a Prodigy.  Can't really go wrong w/ your choices, just personal preference.

I have a Warlock and I have zero complaints about it.  Works awesome, looks great, awesome finish.  No matter what you choose, you'll definitely love it.  Plus, its a TON of fun letting others try it out at the range.

Go with what your dealer has in stock, as said earlier.

I got my Outback II from Scott at Cousino's Firearms and could not be happier.  The performance of the outback is very impressive and Scott was very helpful. I'd recommend him and the Outback II in a heart beat.

I hate to hijack the thread, but how do you like the Tac Sol barrel Berkeyballer?  I was looking at them, and liked the look and the weight, but how is the accuracy?  My dealer has one for $280 is that what they go for, cause normally he is a little overprice?

The Tac Sol barrel is decent, but definately not as accurate as some of the 20" ones that I've had in the past.  I had it out earlier today and it was putting together 1" or so groups at about 50, which is nothing to write home about, but it was decently windy.  Hopefully a suppressor will improve accuracy as I've heard others claim, we'll see .

I purchased the matte black TE one and its light as all hell and the finish on it is awesome.  I walk around a lot with my rifles when I'm out with friends, and its perfect for stalking small game, so I happily gave up some accuracy for the lighter weight.

As far as price, $280 is very high.  I got mine from mizzoumuleguns.com for $210 shipped, a great deal IMO.  He also has some other cool 10/22 stuff that I've picked up recently.

I can't say you guys have made my decision any easier, but thanks for all the responses and IM's.  If anyone has pics of their setups, I'd love to see those too.

A Pilot for $280 is a great deal. I would go for the Pilot. I paid full retail ($425 last June). It is awesome. If the Prodigy had been out when I ordered it I might have gone with that, just to be able to clean it myself.
