| I want to SBR a lower that I currently have but do not have an upper for yet. I plan to buy the 14.5 BCM upper to use with it once I get the stamp back. Can I buy the upper with the muzzle device permanently installed so I can use it in the meatime and then later have it removed or do I need to order non-pinned and just not assemble until I get my stamp back? |

Removing a pinned muzzle device is easy. The problem is it becomes unsightly if you go ape shit on it and it could end up being not usable afterwards.
If you plan to use a $100+ suppressor mount eventually, hold off and pin a low cost temporary place holder till the stamp comes back. OR just wait. |
| I'm going to be adding a suppressor eventually. I am currently waiting on a Dead Air Sandman S. If I go ahead and purchase the muzzle brake for the Sandman, can I have that pinned on the upper to make it legal length? Also, I will be buying a 300 blk upper once the can is out of jail so I will be submitting the form 1 eventually anyway. Just wanted to get it in before the potential 41p. |

Like hellbound said, just wait on buying the upper. You don't need an upper to file a Form 1. File now, get approved in 4 months, buy upper. Then you don't have to pin stuff. It's much easier. |
| I certainly don't need to purchase the upper right away but was wanting to use the rifle immediately rather than having to wait four months. I was thinking that I could go ahead and pin the Dead Air brake that allows for QD of the suppressor that will primarily be used on this rifle anyway. |
