Like the title says, I have no idea as to what kind of ammo is in these cans. The crate is painted green and has no markings what so ever. It is made from rough cut 1" wood, wide planks at that and has rope handles. The cans inside have no markings what so ever except for the hexagon with extended lines inside of a circle embossed on both ends with the opener on one end and handles on top.
The crate itself measures 13-1/2"x10"x9" at the widest points.
The cans measure exactly 10-1/2"x6-5/8"x4-1/8" measured at the widest points. I don't have a scale handy but they weigh less than 20lbs each just guessing.
There was nothing inside the crate except for thin cardboard type material on all sides to keep them from touching. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am guessing the the embossed part is the key to identification.
Ive never seen that before that I can remember.
If this is in the wrong forum, please let me know.

Handle style looks the same from this older 30 cal M1 carbine ammo can. Not the same size can, but, the handle looks identical.

Yup

I bought cases of that stuff back in the 90's... all loaded in EnBloc Garand  clips.

It is corrosive, but easily cleaned after shooting. very reliable and accurate.

The old guy I was helping wanted me to list this so it is going on Gunbroker tonight along with a crate of .303 British he has.
I help a local gunshop list guns & accessories on there.
Just put those numbers in the search and it should pop right up.
Thanks again for your help.

Here is the listing number for the Taiwanese .30-06 # 909478167

Here is the .303 British # 909472860
