There isn't one to my knowledge.  You need to have the pics hosted in order to post them.  There are several hosting services available (free), such as photobucket and tinypic.  Create an account, upload, then cut/paste the URL, then click on the third box from the right at the bottom of the reply box and drop the URL, and the pic will appear.

It's not that long ago I was trying to post pics and found this tutorial.

It was just fresher on my mind.

I would be happy if someone could help me determine whether VISTA is preventing me from uploading photos to the AR15.com server.

Vista is not your friend. I've seen plenty of reports of inconsistent and/or no network performance with Vista.  On the other hand I've seen a lot of people happy with it.  I'm running a Mac at the moment, and not likely to upgrade my XP installations to Vista just because I hear too much badness.  Sorry Areo...
