Well My polytech is finished. It is sporting a Pro-Mag heavy duty scope mount, Simmons 3-9X50 scope, VersaPod forward rail with Harris Bipod, and the USGI Synthetic stock which I finished painting today. I did a pattern similar to the USMC woodland MARPAT that we wear now. I free hand made some stencils, then just rotated and turned em as I painted to get some variety. So what do you all think. I also did my .308, that was my test bed for the pattern. I'll try to get some pics of them in the dirt but its been raining all day today        |

| The Colors were from the Krylon Camoflage line, basic Green, dark brown, and Khaki. The black was some flat black I had from when I built my AKs a while ago. I sprayed the whole rifle with about 4 light coats of green, then did the khaki, then dark brown and finally the black. If I could do it again I would pick a slightly darker color than Khaki, and a lighter color than the Dark brown(from a distance you cant tell the difference between it and black |
| with the ARMS you cant use the iron sights but that is the nice thing about it being a QD is if my scope crapped out I could quickly undo it and use the irons. I dont know if I have the skill to paint the scope, I'd be worried about paint getting inside the scope itself, and the scope is brand spanking new, just used it for the first time today |
