I had been looking for a Polytech M14/S for a good while when I came across one in the EE that I just had to have! After forking over a tidy sum, I had the following rifle, made in August 1988. The front sight base had been welded in place And the flash hider cut off I was certainly less than pleased with the condition, but I knew going in that it was in need of work and I knew the rifle would make an excellent project rifle. I collected the necessary parts to get it fixed up and I sent it to Warbird's Custom Guns to get it fitted with the TRW bolt. I got some trigger time on it yesterday and was quite pleased that it will shoot a ragged hole and worked flawlessly. The specs are: Polytech heel stamped receiver, made in 1988 Polytech chrome lined barrel TRW rear sight TRW bolt USGI garand trigger, sear, hammer, and safety Springfield NM flash hider Springfield NM front sight USGI walnut stock |
