I'd read about the early model breakages. Good thing there's a repair kit out in the Fleet. The width of the thing looks...significant. Is that an issue?
FWIW, I did use the FILBE day pack as an emergency overnight bag while doing PSD stuff and quite liked it. Big improvement over its ILBE predecessor (which I didn't dislike, actually). |

View Quote Haven't had any issues so far. I do prefer traditional mountaineering packs that build vertical rather than horizontal and out. With that said, the main pack itself without the sustainment pouches is not that much wider than the ILBE |

The Kifaru was too overt for my needs so it is a dedicated range bag now and the Tarahumara Pack is my hiking, camping, dicking around outdoors pack. The Tarahumara pack has the following inside curently, -Oakley Windbreaker -esee izula fixed blade. -Klarus xt10 flashlight -mechanix gloves -2x 1qt Nalgene Oasis bottles. -spare batteries for Ear Pro, both flashlights. -Granola Bars. Not everything is pictured. I used to be a 115/124gr +P Corbon whore for yrs. Always hated the slow-arse 147gr loads of old. Now Underwoods new 147gr Gold Dot +P+ 9mm load pushing 1200+fps thru a G17, is 'more better'. 13" pen. .75" average expansion. 100% wt. retention.

What are you using to hold the light switch on? Looks slick and are you concerned at all about grip if it gets wet or muddy?

You just have less control over your weapon when slung & not in your hands while using a one-point. |
