I've been thinking about getting one of these to set up for my AK. I'm curious to see how you guys have yours set up. Just two mags? Room for pistol mag? etc, etc.
Anyways, show it off for others to see, I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd be interested in seeing your setups. Thanks a lot everyone for your time. |

Im sure there are some in the tactical gear thread stickied at the top. Below is my Mini-Mav, set up for a Beretta 9mm CX4 Storm carbine. Holds 8 20rd magazines, BOK, and and light.
Pouches are: Tactical Tailor strobe pouch Emdon 6o4 magazine pouches x2 HSGI Bleeder/Blowout pouch

Set up for an MP5 in this picture. Two Tactical Tailor MP5 pouches (center) Two Tactical Tailor single pistol mag pouches (one on each side) I got mine from Charles at Blackstone Tactical. He's great to deal with and made plenty of recommendations for set up. He uses the mini mav and has several set up....plenty of pics of them too that he can share with you. JC |

my noveske n4 lopro set up: w/ TT E&E vertical pouch, 2x HSGI UMMP open top bungee (carries 4 mags), 2x TT pistol mag pouches

What you CANT see is that I also split the top of the mini mav open and added velcro like on the Eagle SKD Universal rig. Now I can store stuff in it and dont have to attach a pouch. I also added a strap to mount stuff to on each side, I can attach a hand mic if I need. |

GREAT modifications man! I've never seen a mini mav in person, so maybe this is a stupid question, but is it stitched across the top then I assume? Or did you actually have to make a cut to add your velcro to make your pocket?
I want one of these bad to build up but my wife is one who thinks it's stupid and bitches if I buy anything like this. It's usually just best to avoid the arguments so I am slow to buy stuff.

| I totally agree with you on that last sentence!! I just recently picked up an AK, just a plain ol' WASR, but still. So that's why I started this thread, I'm leaning towards the Mini-mav so I wanted to see a variety of setups. I work some off duty jobs here and there, so I try to save up some cash to hide away for a rainy day lol. |
If you have an AK (and an AR or other rifle) I would totally recommend the Universal rig from SKD. I have run it with as many as 8 mags or a few as 2, and it is versatile as hell. the mini mav is great for a small dedicated chest rig. I use mine for low pro now or "light" range trips. |

Just got mine in and set up, so I have not had a chance to use it. I really like this setup, I think it's a far more practical load out for any scenario I might need it for. ATS triple AR mag shingle Mounted on that is an ATS double pistol mag holding a glock mag and a multitool HSGI Bleeder pouch holding an Israeli bandage and emt shears - this pouch is really cool  |
