One of my reloading buddy's customers offered him all of his old reloading stuff.  It was in 2 big rubbermaid tubs.  Some of it looked like it was not too old (90s) and the rest looked pretty ancient.    I didn't have a camera so sorry for lack of Pics    We don't "need" any of this right now, but I think we're gonna make him an offer on it.  It will give us a reson to buy a few new guns.

Lee Challenger Single stage press  (probably the Kit bought in 90s)
  Lee safety Scale
  Lee Powder measurer
2 - Lee hand priming tools (one deifintely older than the other)
  Lee Manual (90s)
Dies
Lee - 270 win (newer dies)
Lee - 38 spl  (old round plastic case)
Lee - 44 spl (old round plastic case)
RCBS - 9mm  (brand new - never been used, rest of the RCBS stuff looks pretty old)
  RCBS - 45 Auto
  RCBS - 30-30 win
  RCBS - 22-250
Misc
  Midway bullet puller
  Lee powder dipper set
  Couple reloading blocks
  RCBS debur / chamfer tool
Componets
1000-1200 winchester primers - large rigfe magnum and small pistol magnum  (white boxes they don't look that old)
old powder - Win 748 and 296, Unique and Bullseye  (maybe 3lbs all together)  Unique and bullseye are the old Hercules cans..anyone know how far back that goes?
 ~50 - speer 270 bullets
 ~50 sierra 44 mag bullets
 ~100 speer.224 bullets
 ~50 sierra .308 bullets

There is also ~300-400 looks to be home cast .44 and .357/.38 bullets, bullet lube and sizing dies, but no molds / furnance or any other casting equipment.
There is also a manual and a powder measuer from a lee pro 1000.  He thinks there might be a 3rd box with more stuff somewhere.

We don't currently own firearms in any of the calibers of dies, but I've been looking at 1911s and either 9mm or 38spl for the wife.  My Buddy has a 30-30 on his to buy list   If he wants to sell everything individually we will prpobably only take the press, hand priming tools,  and dies, but we're  thinking offering $150-$200 for the whole lot. No way I'd use the powder (the powder in the unique cans is not a flake powder so that scares me).  This guy just wants this stuff out of his garage, he hasn't reloaded in years.

We currently load .40, .357, and 223 on a RCBS single stage and Lee pro 1000.

What do you guys think?

Buy it all...use the old powder as fertilizer, sell or trade off the stuff you don't need and get to reloading. Upgrade the Lee press and scale when you really get serious about reloading
