| What kind of powder are you guys using? I'm using Accurate 2230 for now. 55gr FMJ, 24 gr of powder. Haven't taken it to the range to see how the accuracy is yet, just kind of a plinking load. What are you guys using for a varmint load? The woodchucks have been chucking my dang wood! lol |

I have read in this forum that Accurate Arms 2230 is the same as Ramshot's Xterminator. Don't know if that is true or not but if it is, you should be very happy with 2230. Xterminator has been my go to powder for 55 gr and lighter bullets in my AR and bolt 223. I have yet to find any powder that gives better accuracy in my 223s for those bullet weights and as a big plus the velocity has been best too.
That said, I have some 8028 loads for my bolt 223 to try as soon as I can match up a day off from work with minimal or no wind. |

Currently loading IMR 4064 (23gr) pushing a 69gr HPBT. Its a very long powder that doesn't meter very well but has proven very accurate for me when time is taken to verify charge.
Anybody have experience with a spherical powder (for .223) that meters consistently? |
