| Looking for some information on the Power Custom series I and II Stoning Fixtures. I am not a gunsmith but enjoy working on my guns. The triggers I want to work on are ARs/S&W revolvers/ 1911/Ruger 10-22 and maybe some more. Which one of the two Stoning Fixtures will give me the most bang for my buck? Is one more universal? One easier to work with? I know that each weapon will need an additional adaptor/part to work on them so I am not worried about that. Thanks for the help. |

I have the Series 1. Love it, very accurate and repeatable. I did have an issue with my 1911 adapter, two of the pins were not perfectly perpendicular to the adapter and I ate a sear before I figured out what was going on with it. Brownells exchanged it no problem.

I have both and they are quality pieces,I use the two for ars and also bought the triangle stone jig. If you take very much metal off you will have to case harden again or you will literally see metal wear away. Their trigger
test blocks are also well worth the money. |

Looking at all the info on the net it looks like the series I can be used for hammers and sears. Series II looks like it is only for hammers. Am I correct? also looks like the ARs can only be worked on the series II, again am I right? Thanks. IIRC you are correct and even though I bought it years ago that was the impetus on the decision for the series1, seemed much more versatile. |
