My new to me home has these sensors on doors and windows as well as this alarm pad. What type is this and can I set it up on my own? I would like an audible alarm and monitoring is not mandatory. Attached File Attached File |
That looks like xfinity wireless hardware. I have the exact same keypad on my system. Unlikely the sensors are hard-wired.

No. A tablet is the central control unit. The keypad and sensors are just "peripherals" that you add to the system once it's set up. I'm happy with my system. Have had it for 6 years. I use xfinity for internet and the monitored alarm. Everything can be controlled through an app on your phone, and I get a discount on my homeowner's insurance for having a monitored system. |
