What's the current value of this firearm?
Also what would you be willing to pay for one? |
|
Price depends on how it's registered, who did the work, and current options. Is it chopped barrel, threaded, or 3 lug? Paddle mag release? Kind of lower? Night sights? etc. etc. Expect to pay 16k+.
I personally like the K variant more so won't pay this much for the full size. Now if someone took a PP RR MP5 and put a K size front end on it, that is more tempting. |

Which variant? In the past year I've seen them from $16K to $28K depending on model - prices are all over the place. That seems to be the vibe I'm getting. It's a Navy model with an A2 stock and threaded three lug barrel. Marked 'HK MP5-N' I believe the firearm was originally converted by Billistics and later touched up by T. Dyer. I was under the impression that sears started in the 14k range, RR in the 17k range and RR PPs in the 20k+ range. |
| Just depends...I bought my first shelf gun about 4 years ago for about $13K. I bought my first PP for $16.5K last year. A friend of mine sold his Ballistics for $20K last year. I would not pay more than $20K in my opinion for an MP5. If you are talking about a belt-fed, that is a different animal. I just bought a 23E for $31K... |

An RR PP at $20k should be updated and turnkey cosmetically, in mint condition and well documented as to be a true double PP swing down conversion, not an illegally reconverted clip-on RR. I saw a legitimate NiB Billistics PP RR gun several years ago that was simply and otherwise an HK94 with the receiver converted to PP, no other work done. Still had 16" barrel, A2 stock, original factory markings, etc. guy wanted $20k thinking he could get a premium for the ability to start from scratch in building it into an MP5. Empty canvas syndrome. He was crazy... |

Thanks for the info gents. |
