I have an RCBS priming tool. Works great and I use lee shell holders on it.

And it works for all primers as it comes? No extra equipment required? I was looking at the lee one but it looks like you have to buy shell holders for it.

I bought it used. It didn't come with a little plastic piece for small primers. But I called RCBS and they shipped me the piece for free. Other than that I didn't need anything else.

I use two very different priming tools.

1.  Dillon 550B priming tool built into the press.  I do 90% of my priming on the press.

2.  Sinclair hand held priming tool.  Uses Lee shell holders.  I use this when I have time and really care about the priming operation.  This is my go-to tool when I have a bout of OCD.

3.  I use the Redding T-7 press-mounted primer for very small batches of ammo for which I don't want to do a caliber conversion on my Dillon.

Honestly, I have never had a primer problem with the Dillon or Redding primers.  All these tools yield equivalent performance (consistent accuracy & velocity).

Right on,I would not mind using my press but for the life of me I can't remember if it came with the large primer arm. Lees webpage says it does but I don't remember seeing it.

I have that one.  I hate it.  You have to pull it all apart to change shellholders, and it takes 5 minutes of cursing and jiggling to get the linkage to get back into place.

I've been using the Lee hand priming tools for about 35 years.  Finally broke my original one a couple years  back.  They use a different shell holder than the ones that fit the press ram arm.

I bought a new one to replace the broken one (another Lee) and don't like it as well as the older ones.  Feels different, seems to take more effort.

Local sportsmans had the arm so I'm gtg. That 21st looks nice, wonder if it has a "trap door" to isolate the tray from case when priming? It'd be nice to have a back up tool.

I use the Old "round" Lee type and the Hornady hand primer. I prefer the Hornady. If I didn't already have the Lee special shellholders, I wouldn't buy the Lee.

If that 21st century tool is is tight [tolerance] as they say it is in the video, it would be a PITA to use. Who here has never had a dinged rim? I wish they made the Sinclair with a feed tray.

Lee are hand priming tools are POS.  If someone has not broken one yet, they have not reloaded that much!
Cheap pot metal crap!

Century 21, K&M, and Sinclair all use Lee Auto prime shell holders.

Not a PITA to use at all, actually quite enjoyable

RCBS Universal hand priming tool. It's awesome not having to mess with shell holders! It only takes about 30 seconds to swap the two parts to change it from small primer to large primer setup. I'd definitely buy another one if this one broke or got lost.

Been happy with the RCBS hand tool.

I use the older one that uses shell holders.

I also have a press mounted RCBS strip loader.  works well, got for free years ago.

Dillon 650 + Dillon primer tube filler is by far the easiest though.

This.. I have tried about all of them and this one is my favorite.

Its relatively expensive, but it is soooo much easier and faster to use with no case changeover (only have to switch between small and large primer plungers).

I love the universal hand prime, best (fast) priming tool there is.. If ultimate accuracy was the point, look at the Sinclair (I have no experience with this, just based on other reviews).

You're going to love it. After I broke my second Lee I went with the RCBS. Best investment I have made as far as priming goes.

That would be cool if it turns out that way.
I've been using the Sinclair for years now, but I've often wondered what it would be like to slap in a tray of 100 and bust them out.

If you want to go hand-held, I cast another vote for the RCBS Universal Primer. No shellholders so they stay put with your dies, a safety bar automatically slides in between the primer being seated and the rest of the primers, and mine has never flipped a primer :)

If your hands are as old and achy as mine, I'd suggest the RCBS Automatic Bench Priming Tool. It ain't quite automatic, but no more squeezing a few hundred times :)

I've used the old, "round" Lee hand priming tool, I've used the RCBS tool and the Hornady tool as well.  All have a set of pros and cons.

The Lee tool is light and gives you "just enough" leverage to seat primers smoothly.  It tends to wear (and somehow not enough people read the instructions that say to lubricate it at those wear points), and the primer tray units are kind of clumsy to change.

The RCBS tool is exceptionally safe and it gives you great leverage without letting you crush things.  I like how only one primer can get anywhere near the feed way at a time.  But it does take some setup work to get it ready to go.  I bought one on advice of dryflash3 for Berdan reloading, and it works very well.

The Hornady tool is easy to use, easy to change either primer size or shell holder, and it gives more than enough leverage without giving you way too much power.  Hornady supplies two primer trays: one for large and small primers using Hornady shell holders and the other for large and small primers using RCBS shell holders - the RCBS shell holders have a different size hole through the middle, and the tray locks up on that hole, thus two different trays to fit the different shell holders.  On the down side, the tool's body could stand to have a gripping surface that made it easier to grip and avoid slipping.

I have a RCBS hand primer that uses standard shellholders, like the Lee, RCBS, and  Hornady shellholders. Works good. Priming Berdan primers here.

Never bought one of the universal ones, but they sound like an improvement over the old style I have.

If you want a bench tool, RCBS makes a good one. It also has a nice auto primer feature that works well.
